Reptile Uv Light Not Working

Reptile uv light not working. They do have a uv flood light next to the dhp so the basking heat from the dhp is coupled with strong 12 uv light from this source for a. In response to this i bought another light ballast. I guess if placed high enough to use for over all heating and not a hot spot basking area it might work. But let s get a huge fact in here.
Specialized lights made for reptiles supply them with the proper amount of uv ultraviolet light that they cannot get from a standard light bulb. Well yes they are. This was a waste of money. I got another light bulb but the light would not work in the ballast. That hasn t changed in all that time. I put the lightbulb into the new ballast and it worked.
