Red Wood Chip Mulch

As i mentioned of all the types of mulch we have used we have found wood chips to be the most unforgiving.
Red wood chip mulch. Red brown and black. Red chips are visually appealing as they provide a sharp contrast between the red mulch and the green plants. Shredded redwood mulch or wood chips also work well along garden paths but bark chunks are too large. A shallow layer allows weeds to grow through while.
Premium mulch comes in three different colors. Deeply red orange ocher coffee black rich mahogany brown and more can offset your landscape. Some types of red mulch are artificially dyed in order to intensify the color but these synthetic products bring some dangers. With our redwood chips that contrast is created naturally.
It is essential that wood chips be used properly. Using colored mulch like red wood chips poses no threat to plants but will over time fade in color as they break down. Before mulching add some fertiliser and water in well. Lay down between 3 and 6 inches of mulch.
The red colour is non toxic making it safe to use around people pets and plants. This is an important question and is essential to your success in using wood chips as a mulch in your vegetable garden. Redwood chip is a 20 25mm graded mulch and made from recycled plantation timber wood waste. I have found that 2 3 is just right for wood chip mulch.
